These exchangers are particularly well suited for long temperature programmes because of the very high efficiency of the plates.

Their applications are inthe field of clean fluids and particularly for temperatures up to 140°C.

The normal performance of these exchaners makes them particularly attractive. In addition, their basic design givers significant advantages relative to other types of exchangers, for example of high flow capacity and compact design up to 200 M2/M3 can be achieved.

Over recent years the range of designs of the PLATULAIRE® units has been extended with particular emphasis on such applications as suspensions, fibrous, viscous fluids and fouling media.

Particular designs have been also developped for vapour cendensation under vacuum and the very important field of VOC recovery where highly competitive units are available throughout the range.

A particular feature of available design is the ability to cater for large temperature changes with minimum LMTD (i.e Log. Mean Temperature Difference).

Multi-streams applications are also possible within a single echange unit.
