Since 1983 SCANTECH, formerly known as Mineral Control Instrumentation MCI, has specialised in the development and manufacture of on-line, through belt analysers for industrial applications and is reconised as the leading supplier of these instruments worldwide.

GEOSCAN description
The GEOSCAN has been developed in response to market demand for an on-line analyser applicable to a Wide range of bulk materials which offer excellent precision and accuracy for a reasonable price.

The GEOSCAN uses the technique of Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA) to perform a minute-by-minute elemental analysis of bulk material sliding through it on a standard conveyor belt.

The GEOSCAN has been engineered as a compact, fully integrated, single enclosure, which accepts conveyor belt sizes from 800mm to 2020mm. Material flow rates are unlimited and, in typical applications, there is no restriction on maximum bed depth. They incorporates a proprietary detector array giving better accumulation by allowing simultaneous detection in the individual detectors.

TBM200 Series of moisture monitors

The TBM200 Series of moisture monitors are the result of Scantech's many years of experience developing microwave technology. They are easy to install, commission and calibrate, and provide accurate results and stable, hassle-free operation.

Microwaves are transmitted through the belt and the process material to the receiver above the belt.

Measurement of microwave phase shift and attenuation enables determination of moisture content. The technology is not affected by vertical segregation, as the microwaves pass through the total bed depth and measurements are independent of material size and belt speed.

The TBM200 Series can be supplied in a range of models: the standard system is the Model TBM201 which includes a low intensity gamma ray source for the compensation of bed depth and bulk density variations. For certain applications, the Model TBM200 may be used, with bed depth variations compensated through the input from an accurate belt scale.
